Lloyds Quarterly Update

I wanted to take a moment to share an update on what we’re seeing across the logistics industry and how we’re adapting to support you. There is a lot happening in our sector at the moment, and my aim is to give you a clear, practical view of the changes that matter most.

The pace of change has picked up across technology, global routes and sustainability expectations. There is plenty of noise in the market, but what most businesses really need is a grounded understanding of what is actually shifting and how it affects day to day operations. That is where we want to add value: honest insight based on what we are seeing and the steps we are taking to stay ahead of it.

There is constant talk about AI, automation and digital platforms reshaping logistics. Carriers are investing heavily in smarter routing, predictive tools and real time tracking. The challenge is that more data does not always mean more clarity. In many cases it simply means more noise.

Most businesses want someone who can interpret it and give a straight answer when it matters. At Think Worldwide we are strengthening our systems and our carrier relationships so we can keep doing exactly that. As the technology becomes more complex, our job is to make things simpler through clear communication, proactive updates and practical advice you can rely on.

More companies are being asked to show how they are reducing emissions, even when logistics is not their main focus. Greener routes, consolidated loads and alternative transport options are becoming part of everyday planning rather than long term ambition.

We are working with partners who can offer lower carbon choices where they make sense, and we are helping customers understand the balance between speed, cost and environmental goals. It is about giving you options that support your commitments without compromising reliability.

The last few years have shown how quickly things can change. Red Sea rerouting, port congestion and carrier strikes have all had an impact. Large networks can struggle to adapt at speed, which is where a bespoke broker really earns their place.

We stay close to the detail. We monitor route changes, capacity issues and emerging risks so we can pivot quickly when needed. Our independence means we are not tied to one provider. We choose the right solution for each job.

These are only the headlines, but they shape the way we work every day. My aim with this update is to keep you informed, share what we are seeing and give you useful insight into an industry that is evolving quickly.

Thanks for being part of our journey and for trusting us with yours.

Lloyd

2026 Highlights

Think Worldwide proudly celebrates Lloyd and Louise for taking on — and conquering — the formidable Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge in support of Abby’s Heroes. Covering 106 km of demanding coastline, steep climbs, and long, lonely stretches between checkpoints. An event designed to test resilience, preparation, and every choice you’ve ever made about footwear! Lloyd and Louise approached the challenge with purpose, discipline, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact.

Having completed 70kms of the South Downs Ultra Challenge last August, Lloyd returned to this year’s event in May, with a refined strategy and, crucially, better shoes. The lessons learned from his previous Ultra Challenge shaped his approach to pacing, fuelling, and recovery, allowing him to manage the distance with greater control. His performance across a very long day and night reflected consistency, preparation, and determination.

Lloyd trained with, and set out as part of a wider group of nine, whose collective preparation brought energy and momentum into the build up. The Isle of Wight course, however, is known for separating early optimism from reality. As the miles accumulated, only five members of the group continued towards the finish — Lloyd among them. His ability to stay steady through the toughest sections proved essential.

Louise delivered an exceptional performance, completing 83 km of the route — an achievement that stands tall in its own right and showcases her experience with long distance challenges. Her highlight came at the finish area, where she was met by her family, a well earned lift after many hours on the course.

For Lloyd, the standout moment arrived in the final two miles, when he was joined by his friend Jon. Jon ran the closing stretch with him, offering support at a point where fatigue was at its peak. Crossing the line together provided a powerful conclusion to an already demanding event.

Abby’s Heroes remains at the heart of why Lloyd and Louise took on this challenge. The charity provides vital support to children and young people receiving treatment on the Piam Brown and Teenage and Young Adult wards at Southampton General Hospital. Their work includes emergency grants, help with living costs, and practical resources that ease the disruption caused by long term treatment — ensuring families have reliable support at a time when stability matters most.

Beyond financial assistance, Abby’s Heroes funds activities, specialist equipment, and opportunities for families to create meaningful memories during unimaginably difficult circumstances. The funds raised by Lloyd and Louise will directly contribute to these programmes, helping families navigate treatment with greater security, connection, and relief.

Across this event and last year’s South Downs Ultra, Lloyd and Louise have now raised more than £2,000 for Abby’s Heroes. Think Worldwide is immensely proud of their commitment, their endurance, and the impact their efforts continue to make for families facing childhood cancer.

Introducing Louise

For more than fourteen years, Louise Humphries has been a central part of our operations, bringing financial clarity, steady judgement and a reliability that underpins the company’s financial and administrative backbone.

Louise oversees a broad portfolio across the accounts function, covering accounts receivable, payable, management accounts and year end processes. She manages customer invoicing and is the primary point of contact for accounts related queries, making her a familiar and reassuring voice for many of our clients. Alongside her financial responsibilities, she supports the wider office with organising utilities, managing insurance, completing risk assessments and handling general administration. Her ability to take on whatever is needed and keep essential processes running smoothly has made her integral to the day to day running of the business.

She joined Think Worldwide in 2012 after taking time out to raise her two sons, returning to work when her youngest turned two and looking for a role that offered both flexibility and variety. With a background in payroll from a firm of accountants, she brought valuable financial expertise and a practical understanding of office operations from the outset.

Outside of work, Louise is most at home outdoors. She enjoys paddleboarding and long distance hiking and is no stranger to big challenges. Her latest is a 106 kilometre Ultra Challenge around the Isle of Wight to raise money for Abby’s Heroes.

Louise remains a highly valued part of the team, known for her reliability, her breadth of knowledge and the genuine team spirit she brings to everything she does.

What does strategic logistics look like in action?

At Phoenix Air Handling, we specialise in delivering tailor-made ventilation solutions that enhance air quality and reliability. Our approach blends cutting-edge technology with deep sector expertise to meet the precise needs of each client.

Our products are complex, high-value, and often large or logistically challenging to move—especially to tight deadlines. Think Worldwide understand our business, the pressures we face, and the importance of getting it right every time.

When deliveries go wrong, it’s not just inconvenient—it can mean expensive penalties, rejected shipments, and serious disruption to our operations. Whether it’s a same-day request to central London or a unique vehicle requirement with barely any notice, Duane and the team have consistently delivered.

We’ve pushed Think Worldwide to the limit, and they’ve never let us down. The team respond quickly, communicate clearly, and genuinely take the pain out of our logistics. In a world where the final step can make or break a project, Think Worldwide is our safety net. They’ve looked after us time and again, and that kind of reliability is rare. We wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Louise Fundraiser for Abby’s Heroes

On the 2nd of May 2026 our very own Louise Humphries is taking on the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge with Lloyd. Walking 106km round the island in one go! Louise is no stranger to long distance hiking and has been training hard over the last few months in preparation. Louise is also raising money for Abby’s Heroes.

Abby’s Heroes supports children and their families — including bereaved families — who come under the care of the Piam Brown and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) wards at Southampton General Hospital. They offer financial and practical help, as well as opportunities to create lasting memories at the most difficult of times.

Lloyd’s Fundraiser for Abby’s Heroes

This May, I’m taking on another Ultra Challenge — 106 kilometers around the Isle of Wight — to raise vital funds for Abby’s Heroes.

Many of you will remember that I took on the South Downs Ultra Challenge last September, and together we raised an incredible £1,794.16, far exceeding our target!

I’ve taken what I learned from last time, upgraded my shoes and socks, and promised Louise and Beth that the moment something starts to niggle, I’ll deal with it instead of stubbornly pushing on. With a bit of luck (and a lot of blister prevention), I’m hoping to get well beyond the 70km milestone I reached before!

Once again, I’m doing it all for Abby’s Heroes, who provide vital support to children and families facing cancer. The charity supports children and their families — including bereaved families — who come under the care of the Piam Brown and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) wards at Southampton General Hospital. They offer financial and practical help, as well as opportunities to create lasting memories at the most difficult of times.

If you can spare anything — or even just cheer me on — it genuinely means the world.
